Let’s go waaaaay back to my first post jitters. Part of the reason I was stalling was also because I wanted the perfect looking website. I understand how important first impressions are. What you see right now (if you are reading this present day) is not what it is going to look like in the near future. I want my brand, my style, to come out on the screen. I know I can do it, but this HTML stuff is complicated and it makes me slow (plus, as I mentioned earlier, my Word Press manual is a week late. Damn Indigo books!).
I hope that the few who read my entries now won’t be frustrated with the constant changing. I know that ‘bloggers’ aren’t the type to accept change when it comes to the blogs they read. I understand that they want stability, reliability and, of course, readability. I really just pray that I have no noticeable comma splices.
Where was I going with this? Ah yes, branding. It isn’t that I expect to end up with something as popular as Coke, but I want a differentiable identity. I would like my readers to recognize my style with ease and be comfortable with it. Most of all, amid the sea of blogs on the Internet today, I just want to be remembered.
