Outer Space

I’m reading the National Post yesterday and come across this amazing article about how you can win a trip to space. Yes, THAT space…as in Kuberick’s 2001.

The contest is from New Scientist magazine and all you have to do to enter is answer (in 250 words or less) “What is the best invention and why?” [check out the latest details @ www.winatriptospace.co.uk)
The best part is…I have a great idea. The worst part is…you have to be a resident of the UK to enter.

‘Boo’ to the National Post for getting my hopes up. In the article they made it seem like any Canadian could enter (probably because they didn’t actually research what they wrote about).

‘Yeah’ to the New Scientist for coming up with a really cool promotion. Apparently this isn’t the first cool contest idea either. A previous one you could have you have your body cryogenically frozen…after you die of course.
Anyway, I think I’m still going to enter. I know I can’t win (not that I had the greatest of chances anyway) but I really do have a great idea.
