Actually, in this case the idea actually goes into a box and gets mailed directly to your home.

It’s called Paper Gmail, and it is a genius idea. I want to draw specific attention to the “Is it Free?” question. Their answer:

Yes. The cost of postage is offset with the help of relevant, targeted, unobtrusive advertisements, which will appear on the back of your Gmail Paper prints in red, bold, 36 pt Helvetica. No pop-ups, no flashy animations—these are physically impossible in the paper medium.

Targeted, unobtrusive ads. Targeted. Get it? i wonder what kind of ads my Google Paper would bring?

    My favourite is the 2002 http://www.google.com/technology/pigeonrank.html which explains the technology behind Google's great search results. It's their clever use of low cost pigeon clusters.
