My break up with CIBC October 18
Dear CIBC
There is no easy way to say this: I’m breaking up with you.
It’s hard to believe that it has been almost 2 years since we have been together but one thing is for certain: I am better off without you.
Our relationship has been completely one sided - I give give give and you take take take. You never really wanted me to succeed; you liked me being mediocre, just scraping by. I think it fed your ego.
You were a different person every time I came to see you. And all we ever did was argue and disagree. You never really listened to me or took care of me. I never felt special with you. I used to think that there was just nothing better out there for me but I was wrong to just settle. For the first time in a long time I have opened my eyes and have seen the light.
I’ve met somone else…RBC. We have such a great relationship. I’ve already been given $150 shopping spree at Future Shop and we’ve just met. I am being offered everything that you had and so much more. The most important thing is that I am treated with respect, listened to, and I leave with a smile after every visit. I never had an experience like that with you.
But please don’t think RBC is the reason I am leaving you. The reason I’m leaving is because you did nothing for me, you didn’t respect me as an individual and I never got anything out of our relationship.
I wish you all the best and hope that one day you can become the bank I know you can. Until then…good luck.
Yours truly, Zoë Siskos
p.s. I will be by later this month to withdraw the rest of my things. Please don’t make this harder than it already is by making a scene.

Friggin’ hilarious! I hope this letter causes someone, somewhere within the CIBC institution to think for a minute at why you actually felt the need to write a break up letter like this.
Genius!

very witty
good for you
CIBC loses big time
maybe someone over there who cares (good luck finding one) will realize theire loss
they were very shortsited by not working with you for a better finacial future
well hopefully RBC will keep being the bank that they seem to be
good luck
