Engaged with RBC November 30
If you haven’t read Part I of this post, I recommend you do - click here.
I also forwarded my CIBC “Dear John” letter my RBC branch and their customer care centre. Just two days later, my RBC Branch manager, Vishal, called me to thank me for the letter.
I wasn’t surprised about the phone call, but what did surprise me was the invite to their Annual Staff appreciation breakfast (which also occurs on their Customer Appreciation day and the first day of their fiscal year).
Talk about an engaged customer! The morning consisted of:
-home cooked waffles, fruit and mimosas (champagne and OJ)
-mingling with the staff, management and Doug, the Niagara Regional VP
-talking about my ideas, my experiences, my hobbies
-a conference call with the South Western Ontario VP, in which she spoke eloquently about their past year, their goals, their successes, their objectives, their passions (this conference call was across all branches in this region)
- the conference call ending with her reading my letter
-me getting up to speak to the branch about my personal experiences, why I wrote that letter, what I think that RBC has that no other branch has (which is fabulous customer service)
- a few RBC awards being awarded to some of the staff for various outstanding service and goals
Top 5 Highlights
5. Listening to them laugh while my letter was read
4. Being listened to with respect and admiration
3. Getting a chance to reward people for the amazing experiences they gave me
2. Mimosas (I love anyone who thinks that alcohol in the morning is a good idea)
1. KNOWING I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR A SECURE AND HAPPY FUTURE
