My niece, Kelsey, got her poem was published in the Pulse section of The Hamilton Spectator. Hard to imagine she is only in grade 5. Even she is smart enough to know about Hybrids!
Reading her poem reminds me of why kids’ writing can be so sophisticated – they don’t hide from the truth and they keep things simple. A notion us ‘adults’ could stand to incorporate a little more often.
