Surprise, but Twilight has not been my first foray into vampire romance. I was introduced to a more, uh, adult, version of vampire romance not too long ago.

The Twilight novels, however, have become a bit more of an obsession.

@giggey was the first to turn me on to them – she loaned me the first book. I read it in 4 days.

My good friend Liz lent me the next one – I read it in 5 days. I traded it in for the 3rd and 4th.

Needless to say, these books have reignited a love of reading, and for that I am obsessed. It’s wonderful when you don’t care that the dishes need to be done, or the laundry needs to be folded or lunches need to be made or that the economy is failing.

I only care to know what Edward and Bella (and recently, Jacob) are doing.

So, is it any surprise that I want to win a $150 Twilight prize pack?

It is any surprise that I also want to win THIS Twilight prize pack?

I think they are the same, so I’m working my odds and going for both :)

if you haven’t picked up the books, or scoff at them because their so popular I urge you to just check it out. Reading, whatever it is, is good for the soul. Reading something that is on paper (not on a screen) is also good for your eyes ;)

HAHAH I remember when you told me about your first experience with Adult Vampire Romances...definately not expecting that from the helpful lady at Chapters where ya?

I've got some books I'm going to send you. I've decided I don't have room for them in my house and since I usually only read them once I figured it's nice to pass them on. Read 'em, donate them to a library or make your shelves fuller...either way someone else gets to enjoy them ;)

I missed this post last week! So glad you love the books enough to blog about them. Read slowly, since when you're done, you'll have to live your life without the Cullens. And Jacob, I guess!

    Meh.

    Vampires suck.
  • Speaking of vampires we have reported on our blog on a possible origin of vampire myths. Thought you might be interested...
