I’ve been here for a day and haven’t hit any sessions just yet, but that doesn’t mean i haven’t learned anything. Here’s a few tips that probably work for attending any large conference.

1. A good camera is important

See the photo below? That is going to win me an iPad and a trip to Vegas to see Cirque du Soleil. Click on the photo and vote for me please! Tell your friends!

2. It’s cold at night, unless you are dancing your feet off.

Packing for weather you’ve never experienced is impossible. Plus, while it hits 24 degrees Celsius (75 F for my American friends), it’s freezing in the morning and at night. Unless you are in a room packed with 500 other people and you are dancing. Just sayin’.

3. Reservations…because waiting sucks.

It’s busy everywhere. Even the place where they have crappy food but hot waitresses. Also, you are usually in a big group of people because you are meeting everyone! So, do some research on the good places and make reservations in advance. Or you are stuck waiting for for at least an hour.

I go to a conference while on the Nutrisystem plan. What do I do? I do what I do best: Plan.

How did it work out? It would have worked perfectly if our hotel room had a microwave, but it didn’t. My planning, however, wasn’t a complete waste. The snacks and salad came in very handy. It was also a major plus that there were MANY healthy options offered at the conference. I brought my handy Nutrisystem notebook to refer to (portion sizes, good food bad food etc). So, with a little planning and a little willpower and I fulfilled all of my Nutrisystem rules and followed my meal plan.

See how easy it can be?

*Thanks again to Nutrisystem for giving me this plan to try out for free
