We just came home from our first Annual Dundas Buskerfest for a refueling. The dog was beat but it was hot and she was excited by all the goings-on. Plus, she is just the belle-of-the-ball wherever she goes. We had to stop for a lot of pettings…which I’m sure she didn’t mind.
Anyway, I got a chance to look at the film – er, shots? we no longer use film..lol – that I took. I have to say, I’m really pleased with the little bit I’ve checked out and I’m excited to get started with the editing and putting it all together. I have a feeling it’s going to take me some time to get right so I thought I would write a little blog post about my day so far.
It’s awesome. Everyone I’ve asked to be on film says “okay, sure!” and they don’t question me when I say I’m a video blogger. Although I don’t know if that’s cuz they are really into social media or if it’s becasue they are really polite and don’t want to say “What they hell is that?” Either way, it’s a very pleasant interaction.
I would have to say my highlight, so far, was getting a chance to hear the fusion sounds of a 2 piece band from Australia (go Oz!) called Oka. I bought their CD “Half Lazy, Half Crazy” (and I can’t remember the last time I bought a CD) AND I’m listening to it now as we speak. I mean, as I type.
I want to go back to their area and ask if I can play one of their tunes on the site. Or even better, if they’ll let me use it for this video (or any video). If I don’t run into them again here I will hunt them down online. I’m good at investigating. Plus they have a website, are on Facebook and MySpace. That should be easy for me. 
Well, we’re just about ready to head out again. The dog is pooped and will be much happier in her crate, taking a nap. Hubby and I are going out again; this time probably for food (that all falls in the Nutrisystem plan. 
Oh, and enjoy the pic up their. It’s a preview of my video, I suppose. At the time of writing this I hadn’t picked which photo I will show so, I can’t explain it but I’m sure it’s good.
Okay…I’m a dummy and impatient. I don’t know how to upload pictures to the new version of wordpress. I tried and it didn’t work. I’m sure I will figure it out soon enough but in the meantime I want to go back out and enjoy the sun. UPDATE: Apparently the problem was not with the user (yeah!) but a back end issue that Hubby and I solved this morning. Enjoy the picture!
