			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>What is geocaching?</strong> It&#8217;s a mix of hiking and treasure hunting&#8230;and throw in the technology of GPS.</p>
<p><strong>How did we get into it?</strong> We bought a <a title="Garmin" href="http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us" target="_blank">Garmin GPS</a> and from that they had info on geocaching (since you need a GPS to do it). I was mildly familiar with geochacing because of a <a title="Colin's blog" href="http://colincarmichael.ca/" target="_self">former colleague</a> of mine, but aside from him telling me it exists I didn&#8217;t delve into much further.</p>
<p><strong>How do you get into it? </strong>This site has been pretty useful, <a title="geocaching.com" href="http://www.geocaching.com/" target="_blank">Geocaching.com</a>. They explain how things work, the history behind geocaching, a very cool story on the first one and even encourage good environmental behaviour with their &#8220;<a title="Cache in Trash Out" href="http://www.geocaching.com/cito/" target="_self">Cache In Trash Out</a>&#8221; initiative.</p>
<p><strong>What&#8217;s it really like? </strong>Watch this video of our first adventure.</p>
