Rachel (aka. @helsinkiwinner) from the blog A Little Piece of (My) Mind tagged me to spill my guts about myself. What a perfect place to do such a thing.

There are rules, which everyone knows, 1. You don’t talk about Fight Club. 2. You DO NOT talk about – wait….wrong rules.

Okay, here they are:

Link the person who tagged you

Mention the rules on your blog

Tell about six (6) unspectacular quirks you possess

Tag six (6) following bloggers by linking them (ah…the ol’ pyramid scheme!!!)

Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know that they have been tagged

ONE. I’m a scardy cat. Yes, I’m afraid of the dark. I actually get startled by my windshield wipers. Any movie I watch my muscles are always tense and I jump at everything (even Toy Story). Don’t sneak up behind me because I like to employ the use of self-defense tactics and I once made a kid in high school piss blood for a week cuz I punched him in the gut after he try to startle me (okay, the pissing blood part may not be true, but I punched him hard).

TWO. I am very good at grammar and I wish I was better. I know when to use semi-colons, the colon or the dash, and one of my favourite books is Eats, Shoots and Leaves. I also have a mini-war with the 407 regarding one of their signs. BUT….I’m not good enough to explain why things should be the way they are. What the heck is a subjunctive clause? Superlatives? Splices? Nope, I live in the world of common sense. Unfortunately, that means that I can’t point out most grammar I know is bad (which, in the end, is probably why I still have friends.)

THREE. I am loud and hate it when people make me feel self-conscious about it. The self-conscious thing doesn’t happen often but when it does I usually get louder. I can’t help it people; I grew up in a European household where everything sounds like we’re yelling. How else are you going to be heard when 10 other people are talking?

FOUR. I carry sentimental value towards VERY few things. I tend to throw things out quite easily. I suppose you could consider me the opposite of a pack rat. Sometimes I throw things out that start to gain sentimental value to prove to myself that I don’t care about it. I don’t know why I do it but if I had to wager a guess I would say that the memory of my house getting robbed probably has something to do with it. I was about 9 when we came home from my gymnastics class to find my parent’s valuables gone. Not the TV or the replaceable stuff, but the gold and jewels. I distinctly remember my mom crying because they stole the necklace that her mom (who lived in Greece) gave her for her engagement. I remember her sobbing, “I didn’t want to wear it out because it was too nice.” I didn’t fully understand it then but I felt deep down that I I never wanted any thing to have that kind of power over me.

I also remember being afraid to eat the fruit because I thought the burglars poisoned it.

FIVE. I change my hair a lot. Like, almost every 6 months. i actually want to start a flickr album for it to show the change in my hairstyles over the year. My mom is a hairstylist (and a damn fine one too)…..so what girl wouldn’t take advantage of that?!

SIX. I can finish Super Mario Bros (for original Nintendo) in 6 minutes and 53 seconds. And yes, I’m bragging.

Alright, here are the six people I’m about to annoy (or make feel really special)
